Hunting in the UK is now trail hunting, which involves hounds hunting a trail created by dragging a scented rag. Drag hunting is similar but "lines" are typically divided up with breaks in between. Bloodhounds follow the scent of a human quarry who runs ahead of the pack to create the trail.
Most hunts have authorised photographers who know their country and may provide images for the hunt's use in return for access. Make sure to ask permission from the Hunt Secretary before visiting a hunt, to ensure that you are welcome.
