About Nico Morgan

Nico Morgan is one of the most experienced equestrian photographers in the UK.

A member of HWPA and BEMA he is an event photographer, a commercial photographer, and an agency and editorial photographer with numerous book and magazine cover credits.

Nico covers all disciplines and shoots commercial work for brands like Land Rover, editorial commissions for Horse & Hound, Insights Magazine, British Showjumping and British Eventing among many others.

Like many equestrian photographers, Nico is freelance. He works with 1st Class Images at Shows like HOYS, Bolesworth, Blenheim, Bramham, The Royal Welsh, NPS, RDS; Real Time Imaging at North of England, Lincolnshire Show, Royal Norfolk, Suffolk Show; Richard Weller-Poley at Ryedale Show and Equipics at Arena UK.

In 2023 Nico was asked to take on Flintham Ploughing Match as their usual photographer was unable to attend.

Horse Racing

Nico Morgan is also the area Public Relations Officer for The Midlands Area Point-to-Point Association, responsible for all their press releases, meeting previews and reports. He provides all their images, runs their social media and hosts and maintains their two websites.

He is the official photographer at Garthorpe Racecourse.

Equestrian Photography Course

Nico also hosts a popular equestrian photography course with access to members-only articles on his website covering all disciplines as well as the business side of equine photography.

He is based in the East Midlands, on the Leicestershire/Lincolnshire border, near Grantham but works all over the UK and Ireland.

Web Development and SEO

In a former career, Nico worked for leading Digital Agency Green Cathedral in Cambridge, within their specialist analytics arm Clickstream. Here he worked with clients like Virgin Radio and Thomas Pink providing data on their e-commerce performance.

Since moving to the East Midlands to further his photography career, Nico has run his own agency providing web design, development, maintenance and SEO services to clients all over the UK and Ireland. He created, hosts and runs the British Equestrian Media Association website, as well as others for Garthorpe Racecourse, Barrowcliffe XC course, Cooley Farm and Midlands Pointing. Riders using him for their web design and hosting include Alexander Tordoff, Eliza Bell, Willa Newton, Isabella Innes Ker, Vittoria Panizzon and Aoife Clark.
