Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is the second of the British 5* events and takes place in early September at Burghley House, on the outskirts of Stamford in Lincolnshire.

Set in beautiful parkland the cross country course is regarded as the toughest on the circuit, with its steep hills, multiple lake crossings and legendary rider frightening fences.
