The Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials take place in August every year ay Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.

There are long and short 4* competitions and long format 3* and 2* competitions. There is a pony 2* section as well as specific sections for Pony Club members too. There are national BE classes at 90 and 100 level and also Scottish Championship classes.

Who is the Blair Horse Trials Photographer?

Prior to 2023 the Blair Horse Trials photographer was Julia Shearwood Photography. In 2023 the photography was provided by Athalens.

Nico Morgan also photographs at Blair Horse Trials but he is commissioned by Defender to do all their equine photography.
